Cancel a date

If you don't have any booked participants, you can easily cancel the date yourself. If participants are booked, only cancel in emergencies.

Here's how to cancel a date:

  1. Go to "Manage Dates and Participants."
  2. Click on the three dots (•••) next to the desired date and select "Cancel/Reschedule."
  3. Fill out a form with the cancellation reason, write a message to the participants, and confirm. Participants are automatically notified and can reschedule within 7 days. If they do not reschedule, a refund process begins on the eighth day, which may take up to an additional 7 banking days.

Things to consider:

  • Publish new dates before canceling to allow immediate rescheduling for participants.
  • Inform participants well in advance, preferably four days before, and explain the reasons for the cancellation.
  • Notify this decision in time to avoid a poor customer experience. Frequent cancellations can affect your rating on Ejbla.
  • As an organizer, you will need to cover the service fee if you cancel. We will specify the maximum amount when you choose to cancel. This only applies to participants requesting a refund instead of rescheduling to another date. We do this to ensure that participants receive a full refund, even if Stripe and Ejbla have already deducted their fees and fulfilled their commitments. For understanding, you can compare it to shipping; companies always need to cover the shipping and return shipping costs if a product is defective.
